In a significant step toward people-centric diplomacy, India has announced the establishment of the BRICS Civil Forum Dialogue under its 2026 chairship. The forum will bring together civil society organizations, think tanks, and community leaders from all BRICS nations.
The Civil Forum will provide structured input into key policy discussions, particularly on inclusive growth, climate action, and digital rights. The inaugural dialogue is scheduled for February 2026 in Mumbai.
